Happy Holi to you and your family. Holi is one of the most celebrated festival in India. Holi is known as a festival of colours. But do you know why do we celebrate holi with colours? Day 2 of holi we celebrate holi by splashing colours and water at family and friends. There are couple of stories attached to this festival let's look at one of the most popular story. One day Bal kanaiya asked his mother, "Maiya mori Radha Kyun Gori aur mein Kyun kaala?" Maa Yoshodha told him, "what difference does it make, even if Radha is Kaali she will still be Radha and if you are gora you will still be my Kanha... She said if u want to check for yourself why don't you apply any colour at Radha" Next day our Kanha took some colours and splashed on his Radha. And then Radha also took some colours and splashed on her kahna, looking at this fun activity all their friends joined in. And played with colours and had lot of fun. Till date we play holi to celebrate innocence, friendship, platonic love between family and friends... Wish you all have a wonderful day and year ahead.. #rishinanda #rishi #nibhishconsultancy #nibhish #happy #holi #indian #spiritualist #festival #colours #watercolor #lord #krishna #radhakrishna

Holi is one of the most celebrated festival in India. Holi is known as a festival of colours and it also represent victory of good over evil As per hindu calender holi is observed in the Phalguna month and celebrated on the eve of Purnima i.e. Full Moon... The celebrations begin after the sunset by lighting a bonfire, followed by splashing colours and water at your family and friends the next day... On day 1 people burn the bonfire and pray to Agni Devta to give them best of health and keep away all types of evil from their near and dear ones... This entire process is called Holika Dahan... Why is it called Holika Dahan? The story goes back to the time on demon Hiranayakashyap .... He was very powerful due to which he has won the kingdom of earth... And because if his ego he commanded everyone to pray to him as he is God and there is no other God... Out of fear everyone started to pray to him except his small son Prahlad, who was a big devotee of lord Narayana... Hiranayakashyap tried to kill his son many times but due to the grace of Lord Narayana he escaped death everytime.. One day Hiranayakashyap asked his sister Holika to enter fire with Prahlad as he was aware taht she has a boon that fire cannot cause any harm to her... She agreed to help her brother... So one day she was sitting on wood pieces and somehow she convinced Prahlad to sit on her lap...the moment he sat of her lap, Hiranayakashyap ensured the wood is burnt... Holika started to shout and cry coz she was not aware that the boon she had received that fire cannot burn her is only when she enters fire alone... The boon was of no use now as she had entered with Prahlad .. on the other hand Prahlad was chanting Lord Narayana's name ... Lord ensured nothing happens to Prahlad and he escapes unhurt... Holika in her dying moments seeked forgiveness from Prahlad for the sin she committed... Prahlad not only forgave her but also assured taht she will be remembered forever... Till date we celebrate the victory of good over evil by celebrating Holika Dahan ...... #rishinanda #nibhishconsultancy #spiritualist #rishi #holiday #holi #indian #festival #holikaholika #holika #prahlad
